Our Vision & Genesis
MegaTools was established by a dedicated team of engineers who observed a critical privacy issue on the modern web: basic, daily tasks such as formatting JSON files, converting text, and resizing image assets required pasting data into web tools cluttered with data trackers. These websites routinely log user inputs into database networks, compromising enterprise code, personal data, and security keys. We designed MegaTools to serve as a private web utility suite that guarantees complete client-side data isolation.
The Local-First Architecture
Our platform is engineered to prove that modern web utilities do not need server-side data processing. By leveraging browser-native compiling technologies—specifically JavaScript modules and WebAssembly compiled binaries—all file operations and calculations execute inside the user's local browser sandbox. Your data remains strictly inside your machine's temporary RAM and is never sent to our servers. We do not maintain records of your inputs.
